Corizon has an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy technician at the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility in Los Lunas.
POSITION SUMMARY: Aid and assist the pharmacist in assigned supervised duties in a responsible and ethical manner. Interacts with a variety of healthcare professionals, corrections and administrative staff to achieve the goals of the pharmacy department and fulfill contractual requirements.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
1. Maintain an organized pharmacy.
2. Maintain a perpetual inventory.
3. Process and rotate inventory including returns.
4. Prepare all prepackage and repackage stock.
5. Process medication orders from DOC facilities.
6. Observe all security policies and procedures.
7. Compliance with employee standards of CMS and applicable employee standards of the Department of Corrections.
Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy program. Current certification/ licensure in state of employment. Thoroughly knowledgeable of all applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations and institutional rules and regulations. Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.
