Join the Corizon team at the Madison Correctional Facility in Madison! We have an excellent opportunity for an Addictions Recovery Specialist.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides direct clinical services to the inmates of the Substance Abuse Treatment program as a “primary counselor'.
2. As “primary counselor', completes in a timely manner:
a. Initial assessment.
b. Group and individual counseling.
c. Discharge summaries.
3. Conducts psycho-educational modules for program participants.
4. Evaluates inmates referred for substance abuse treatment services to determine the appropriate level of treatment and agency to provide required services.
5. Documents inmate evaluation or program participation in accordance with program procedures.
6. Adheres to safety and security policies and participates in disaster drills.
7. Ability to deal with and respond to stressful situations in a stressful environment.
8. Requires regular and Reliable attendance.

Requires a Bachelors Degree in Psychology or related field.
Requires state certification as a substance abuse counselor (CADAC).
Experience in providing services within a correctional setting is preferred.
Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
