Responsibilities: Inpatient physicians are responsible for the care of the patients in the Duane Waters Health Center which includes but is not limited to the following:
* Admission, discharge, acute evaluations, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, triage, subspecialty referral and daily hospital rounds.
* Communicate with referring physicians, specialists, administration and hospital departments.
* Attend and contribute to quality improvement meetings.
* Supervise mid-level providers
* Limited on call: (round one weekend out of every 7 weeks)
* Qualified candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
* Inpatient experience
* Active unrestricted Michigan medical license
* DEA License
* ACLS Certification
* Correctional health care; FQHC; or managed care experience a plus
